RIYADH- The 7th German Catalogs Exhibition kicked off here today(May 25th) under the organization of the German-Saudi Liaison Office for Economic Affairs.
It was launched in the presence of the Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Engineer Khalid Al-Otaibi; Charge d’Affaires of the Federal Republic of Germany in Riyadh Michael Aunmakht and Delegate of German Industry an Commerce for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Bahrain Andreas Hergenrother.
At the outset of the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Hergenrother delivered a speech in which he stressed that the opening of the exhibition represents sustainable business relationships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Germany, noting that the German economy is not an important trade partner of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only, but it is providing technical knowledge and expertise exchange with Saudi companies.
He further said that the exhibition provides a unique opportunity for German companies to communicate with the Saudi market, as well as an opportunity to deepen the good relations between the German companies that seek to enter the Saudi market and for Saudi companies that are looking for innovative new products and new German partners.
For his part, the CSC Secretary General commended in his speech the deep-rooted Saudi-German economic relations, indicating that Germany is the 5th economic partner country of the Kingdom and that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached by the end of 2012 (11.5) billion dollars.-SPA
