500 Super Final Handball to be held under patronage of Crown Prince of Dubai

DUBAI – The 500 Super Final Handball match between FC Barcelona Lassa and PGE Vive Kielce has received the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.

The premier 500 Super Final Handball match between FC Barcelona Lassa and PGE Vive Kielce will take place on December 21, 2018, in the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, and is organised in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and in partnership with the International Handball Federation (IHF).

The patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum means that the 500 Super Final Handball is joining a list of renowned sporting events, such as the Dubai Tennis Championships, which have received the patronage of His Highness.

“We are truly honoured to have received the patronage from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. With his support, we are certain that the 500 Super Final annual handball match will become one of Dubai’s important sports event,” said Slawek Gebka, the CEO of the Dubai based company Richport Sports Events Marketing, the owners of the event.

“Handball is still growing in the United Arab Emirates,” said IHF President Dr Hassan Moustafa. “The collaboration with Richport Sports Events Marketing aims at promoting handball in the region and the 500 Super Final Handball certainly offers an opportunity to show the people how amazing, exciting and competitive our sport is.

“The patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum adds even more value to the event and it will draw the attention to the match between two world-class clubs, which will showcase the best of handball.”
