L&T showcases its decisive EPC edge at WETEX Dubai 2018

DUBAI – Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India’s leading technology, engineering and construction conglomerate is showcasing its decisive EPC edge in infrastructure development at the WETEX 2018 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

L&T’s power transmission distribution business holds a preeminent status in the region having executed several landmark power infrastructure projects for DEWA. Significant projects under execution include more than 20 substations and cabling projects across various voltages and an extra high voltage substation of 400 kV. L&T is also executing several substation and cabling projects in UAE for utilities like TRANSCO and AADC. Other key infrastructure projects being executed by L&T includes a 375 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant in Jebel Ali, on turnkey basis.

L&T’s international track record in the power sector covers over 4000 km of transmission lines of various voltages up to 400 kV, more than 300 substations as well as more than 3000 km of cabling. Across the renewable energy portfolio, L&T is at the forefront as one of the largest EPC contractors in India having executed more than 1.5 GW of solar power projects.

L&T is also executing various substation and transmission line projects for SEC and Saudi Aramco, Normal Paraffin & Derivative Complex for Farabi Petrochemicals at Yanbu, and developing the Hasbah offshore gas field and Midyan gas processing facilities.

The list of prestigious mega projects executed by L&T in the Middle East is extensive. It includes Oman’s Salalah Airport, a huge interchange and road project in the UAE, the Riyadh Metro, one of the largest international orders bagged by L&T till date and the Abu Dhabi Airport airside works.

Projects on stream presently include the improvement of the Mafraq to Al Ghweifat Highway-Section 4A, 3 Roads & Interchange projects for EXPO 2020 in UAE, the Batinah Expressway Package-4 and Al Sharqiyah Expressway Section II and Package 1 in Oman.

Some other note-worthy projects executed in the UAE include middle bridges on trunk, Palm Jumeirah Island, and the Khalifa Port Interchange in Abu Dhabi; and in Oman, the Mahalah Ghubbrat Al Tam Ismaiyah road, the design and construction of underpasses and flyovers along Darsit Al Wadi Al Kabir Road.

Other significant L&T projects include 100 and 200-bed hospitals for the Ministry of Health, schools for the Ministry of Education, expansion of the Qassim Cement Plant, Methanol & CO Plant for Chemanol, gas processing facilities for Saudi Aramco and polyethylene trains for SADARA Chemical Company.
